John Challita

Founding Director, Principal

John is the Founding Director and Principal of Harvard Associates, with deep experience across accounting, business consulting and financial planning in Australia and the UK. Having worked in the St Marys area since 2002, John established Harvard Associates as his own firm in 2007 after previously working in partnership. He oversees the firm's client work and brings broad commercial experience through his private business interests across real estate, technology platforms and property development.

  • Sarah Makhlouf

    Practice Manager

    Sarah joined Harvard Associates in June 2011 as Receptionist and Office Administrator, growing into the Practice Manager role through years of hands-on experience and a deep understanding of the firm. She plays a central role in keeping the office running smoothly, supporting both the team and clients, and creating a welcoming, organised and reliable environment. Sarah enjoys the variety each day brings and takes pride in being someone the team and clients can depend on.

  • Nathan Rushworth

    Senior Tax Manager

    Nathan joined Harvard Associates in 2016 and plays a senior role across the firm's tax, compliance and business client work. He works closely with individuals, businesses, trusts and other client structures across tax returns, BAS, end-of-year financial statements, superannuation and accounting software support. Nathan brings a practical, solutions-focused approach to client matters, helping clients stay compliant, improve their systems and make sense of their accounting obligations. He enjoys the variety of the work, building strong client relationships and helping clients achieve clear, practical outcomes.

  • Greg Aboumelhem

    Tax Manager

    Greg first joined Harvard Associates in January 2018 while studying at university, gaining his first office-based experience after previously working in retail. After leaving Harvard in 2023 to build further middle-market tax advisory and compliance experience with a mid-tier firm, Greg rejoined the team in 2026. His work focuses on ATO disputes and correspondence, corporate tax, FBT and GST. Greg enjoys the variety and ongoing learning that comes with working in tax, which keeps the work challenging and encourages continuous professional growth.

  • Rodrigo Lucero

    Head of Corporate & SMSF Governance

    Rodrigo brings extensive experience across banking, financial management, and corporate governance, supported by an MBA, Master of Accounting, and Postgraduate Diploma in Governance. Over his three years with Harvard Associates, he has focused on governance frameworks and SMSF compliance, helping clients navigate complex regulatory requirements, trust structures, and corporate governance.

  • Minh An Co Nguyen

    Tax Accountant

    Minh has been part of Harvard Associates since 2020 and has been providing consistent and professional support across a broad range of accounting and compliance services. Her role focuses on the preparation of end-of-year financial statements, income tax returns and Activity Statements, with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness and attention to detail. Minh takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance obligations are met, and providing clients with support throughout the financial year.

  • Georgette Aboumelhem

    Tax Accountant

    Georgette has been part of Harvard Associates since 2010, working across casual, part-time and full-time roles over the years. After gaining further accounting experience with Merc Capital and the Assyrian School, she returned to Harvard in 2022, bringing with her a broader range of professional experience. Georgette works across BAS preparation, payroll, superannuation, bookkeeping and other client support matters. She enjoys working closely with clients and colleagues, continuing to grow professionally, and keeping up to date with the latest ATO rulings and guidelines.

  • Ruby Abu Ghazaleh

    Tax Accountant

    Ruby joined Harvard Associates in February 2026, bringing extensive public practice experience, including more than 13 years with H&R Block. She works across individual, sole trader and business tax returns, BAS and IAS preparation, TPAR, SGC matters, reconciliations and bookkeeping, with a focus on accurate, timely and practical client support. Ruby enjoys the diversity of accounting work, the opportunity to support clients in achieving their financial goals, and being part of a collaborative team.

  • Alex Lucero

    Business Analyst

    Alex joined Harvard Associates in 2025, bringing a background in financial management, control and advisory across Australian SMEs. He works with small business clients on advisory, consulting and performance management, helping business owners better understand their numbers, diagnose key issues and make more informed decisions.
