Frequently asked questions

What is the business tax return deadline?

The standard lodgement deadline for most companies, trusts, and partnerships is 28 February of the following year when lodging through a tax agent. Sole traders lodge as part of their individual tax return, typically by 31 October or through an agent's extended lodgement program. We'll confirm the exact deadline for your entity type when you contact us.

What tax rate applies to my company?

For the 2024–25 financial year, base rate entities (broadly, companies with aggregated turnover under $50 million where 80% or more of income is passive) pay 25%. Other companies pay 30%. We review your eligibility as part of preparing your return.

How much does it cost?

Fees vary depending on your entity type, turnover, and the complexity of your accounts. Contact us for a quote — we'll give you a clear figure before we start.

What if my records are not well organised?

Don't worry — we work with clients at all stages of record-keeping. Bring what you have, and we'll guide you on what else is needed. Disorganised records don't have to mean a stressful tax time.
