Frequently asked questions
When are BAS lodgements due?
Quarterly BAS lodgements are generally due 28 days after the end of each quarter (28 October, 28 February, 28 April, 28 July). Monthly lodgements are due 21 days after the end of each month. Tax agents receive extended deadlines on behalf of their clients — contact us for your specific due dates.
What if I've missed a BAS lodgement?
Missed lodgements attract penalties and interest from the ATO, but the situation is manageable if you act quickly. Contact us and we'll get your outstanding BAS lodged and work with the ATO to minimise any charges.
Do I need to be registered for GST?
You must register for GST if your business turnover is $75,000 or more (or $150,000 for non-profit bodies). Below these thresholds, registration is optional. If you're unsure whether to register, we can advise you on the implications.
Can you handle my BAS on an ongoing basis?
Yes. Many of our clients engage us to handle their BAS every quarter as a standing arrangement — we contact you when it's time, collect the records, prepare and lodge on your behalf, and keep you informed of what you owe or are owed.
How much does it cost?
Fees depend on whether you're quarterly or monthly and the volume of transactions. Contact us for a clear quote.
